Pollinator Hotel Design
This pollinator hotel is designed to provide an ideal environment for insect colonies that help with the pollination of garden plants. The smart and straightforward design includes three recycled cardboard tubes from toilet paper or napkin rolls. Each tube is filled with reed sticks or other suitable mediums for insects in your area, creating optimal conditions for various insect colonies.
The design's flexibility allows for the quick and easy expansion of colonies to other garden areas. By redistributing one populated tube and adding two new tubes along with a 3D printed holder, you can transport pollinators where they are most needed, thus supporting an efficient and adaptable management of pollinator populations.
The pollinator hotel is extremely easy to install: first, attach the branch to the 3D holder, then insert the tubes filled with reeds. Alternatively, it can be hung using household or garden string. It is also quick to 3D print, allowing for use even without the cardboard tubes for greater adaptability.
With its practical and sustainable design, this hotel not only supports biodiversity but also promotes responsible resource use, contributing to a healthier environment and a more flourishing garden. Additionally, the design is crafted to protect and seamlessly integrate with the surrounding nature, emphasizing a commitment to conserving natural habitats.
