This is used for the window shades that are self-retractable type.

The cord that it is used to pull the shades it is fasten to this type of holder instead of using the one like a bollard shaped or the ones with the spring.

Because of the inner shape of the holder when the cord is pull back by the shade it will remain stuck due to direction of the grooves.
