Macbook Air 2011-2017 USB Type-C Dongle Adapter

Purpose

We still use a 2014 Macbook Air in our home. To make life easier, since most of our other gadgets and technology uses USB Type-C to charge, I wanted to make it easier to charge our trusty Macbook Air at home and when traveling. This is a dongle, similar to what you find on modern macbooks, that adapts the Magsafe charging port to a USB-C charging port, and the left-hand USB A port with a Type-C data port. 

Obviously, adapters exist. However, Magsafe-to-TypeC adapters aren't designed to stay in-place. I designed this to plug into both Magsafe and the USB port because this way the dongle stays anchored in your machine while traveling or moving the laptop around. 

Instructions

I designed this model to fit the following adapters that are slid in place and adhered using super glue.

Optional: Print using clear/transparent filament to have the status LED shine through.
