This led holder revolves around the entire top of the printer.
It's designed for strips with a width of 12mm, you can use it without taking off the backing (so no need to stick it)
This is done to make sure you have the same amount of light from every angle.(yes it might be a bit overkill especially when you are running 144 leds per meter)
What you need
- The led's (obviously)
- 4x LedHolderCorner - this is for all the corners
- 4x LedHolderLongSide - this is for the long way of the printer (depth)
- 3x LedHolderShortSide - this is for the short way of the printer (width)
- 1x LedHolderShortSideWiring - This is for the short way of the printer where you want the wiring to end up.
- 24x M6 x 10mm Cap Head bolt
- 24x M6 T-Nut
How to install
- Print all the parts, the parts have a bridge designed in them that you need to remove. This bridge is there to make sure everything can be printed without any supports
- Decide where you want the wire to end up, It's designed to go to the back left of the printer.
- I'd advice to insert the led before mounting the holders to the printer
- Start with wired end and start adding the parts in the correct order to it.
- It might be a bit difficult to get the strip through all the parts, especially in the corners. However it might be easier when you aren't using 144 leds/m
- I ran the wiring through the extrusion slot to the electronics. It's designed so you can basically make the wiring invisible
