This is something made several years ago. I figured the model could still be of use.

Have you ever wanted to have a better view of your extruder while printing? I tried lots of different camera mounts and they basically all had the same problem. While the view they provided looked good for most things it was really hard to see some print errors. I designed this to mount up close to the nozzle so you can see the filament as its it being printed. See it in action here.

There are alot of files as you may notice for a simple camera mount. You could use a few as 4 parts for your mount.

The camera case is for a Logitech c120.

The mount is rather generic so you could use it on other models or for different views. You will be able to use this mount anywhere you have at least 1 m3 size hole. For this machine its mounted along the front section with (or without) the stock fan.

Use camera mount 1 and /or camera mount 2 (with or without balls) as your base and use any number of ball clips to extend the mount and for points of articulation. the camera clip is meant to clip around the camera housing. if possible it would be best for you to make a housing with a 10mm ball on the back to clip into the current sockets.

My current setup uses camera mount 2 one ball clip and the camera case.

Print Settings

  • 0.4 mm Nozzle
  • 20% infill
  • Print in ABS or PETG
  • Some parts will print better with supports.

Post-Printing

Pressing a ball joint

Goes together a bit smoother if you lightly sand the ball with 1000 grit paper.I Used a small quick clamp to press them together. Keep it aligned while your pressing.

I made this in Tinkercad  Source links below:
