CR-10S Standalone Mod for motherboard enclosure/housing
Original parts are Support_Melzi.STL and Capot__Melzi.STL from:
https://www.printables.com/model/392160-cr10-mod-standalone-stlstp
The original CR-10 came with Creality Melzi branded motherboards (version 1), the CR-10S came with Creality version 2 boards. The layout, and screw mount layout are different, and has dual ribbon to LCD Screen.
The mosfet for heated bed is also a different model, and larger.
Changes to models include:
-Increase the size 4mm longer along the X direction, and 16mm longer in the Y direction. This was to allow room for the mosfet, and board size differences.
-Added additional mount points motherboard
-Moved existing mounts for mosfet
-LCD uses 2 ribbons, and the pass-through needed to be adjusted
M5 x 10 tapered head screws and hammer nuts to fasten to 2020 and 2040 frame.
M3 x 10 pan head screws to fasten lid.
Printed in PLA with tree supports touching bed.
**Please note the newer version 4 silent boards have a similar layout. I don’t have one, so I am unable to confirm if this modification will work with other boards. I do not know what mosfets were used in newer models.
**I did have to crimp longer wires for Live, Neutral, and Ground to the Power supply.
CR-10S Standalone Mod for back of LCD
Original part is Capot_ecran.STL from:
It appears the original CR-10 only had one ribbon going to the LCD, but the rest of the dimensions were the same.
Modified the original opening to support the dual cable system in the CR-10S.
Use the original screen housing part labeled Support_ecran.STL
M3 screws were used to fasten to housing (I didn’t use the capture nuts), back piece pushed in slightly.
**I did require taller feet I used the following as I was already using squashball feet.
