I hated the original clamp of the Worksharp Precision Adjust. The clamping surface is noticeably too small and therefore cannot provide a secure grip on the knife. Additionally, I had the problem with long, thin kitchen knives that the blade bent too much during sharpening to achieve precise sharpening results. That's why I decided to design my own knife holder for the Worksharp system. The original magnet adapter as well as the Teflon ring, m6 bolt and the thumb screw were reused in the process.

Parts

1x WS_clamp_base

1x WS_clamp_middle_top

1x WS_clamp_middle_bottom

2x WS_clamp_side_top

2x WS_clamp_side_bottom

4x m3 x 14mm screws (I only had 12mm screws, which are a little bit to short)

2x m3 x 20mm screws (for the vertical adjustment)

6x m3 washers

6x m3 nuts

My design has 3 points where the blade is held. The functionality of the rotation mechanism

could be retained.

The side clamps are also adjustable in vertical directions by loosening the screws.

So far, it works absolutely perfectly. No more blade wobbling or imprecision!

Note: Since the distance between the blade and the main sharpening system changed, I would recommend to use a bevel box for measuring the exact sharpening angle.
