A colleague ran an experiment using 60 ml syringes for substrate feeding and pH correction solutions with peristaltic pumps from Applikon my-Control block. As there wasn't much space on the lab bench or in the fume hood, it was necessary to have some kind of organiser.
You can mount these holders on the my-Control (control block for bioreactors) itself using the notch as a sliding guide.
The first version can hold four syringes at the front of the reactor. This works really well, but if you need to stack the reactor's controlling blocks on top of each other, it blocks access to the connectors where sensors are plugged in.
There are two other versions that can take two syringes (that was enough for the application), either in a symmetrical (one on each side) or asymmetrical (both on the same side) way to get around this issue.
These models were designed in Solidworks 2021 as part of work at Wageningen University and Research.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
