Aboriginal Boomerang - Australia

This model is a little different from what we usually do in MiniWorld3D. Instead of a landmark or famous building, this is part of a series of objects representing art & design of the world. Together, they decorate a themed room in a miniature mansion!

This model represents a wooden boomerang decorated with patterns characteristic of Aboriginal Australians and represents Oceania!

About the Aboriginal Australian Boomerang

The non-returning boomerang has been used by some Aboriginal Australians for hunting for thousands of years. Although mostly associated with Australia, ancient boomerangs have been discovered in other continents too. Aside from its use as a hunting or war weapon, they were typically useful too for digging, starting fires, and as a percussion musical instrument (from Wikipedia).

MiniWorld3D is happy to bring this cultural model to life as a homage to the people of Australia. This model was created from scratch by hand and brain in parametric software to ensure printability, using photographs to create a beautiful and stylized version. Printing Tips

Suggested parameters:

No supports

Without input shaper, print slow for better details, such as 15 or 20mm/s for outer perimeters.
Fine-tune retraction to avoid stringing.
Perimeters: 2
Top layers: 3
Infill: as low as 15%

Input shaper ok

This model requires MMU / AMS to be fully colorful.

You can get creative with the color choices.

Scale in Z to increase or decrease layer heights to your liking.
