The keyhole for the underseat storage is right above the the rear wheel, meaning that the keyhole gathers a lot of dirt, and thus damaging the lock.

So that needs to be solved! A mudguard is difficult (complex geometry to connect to) and not really pretty, so the most simple solution might be the best - directly cover the keyhole.
A simple disc (PETG just to be sure) with a 6x2 mm magnet seems to do the trick. It's sticky enough to remain in place and prevents 99.9% of the dirt entering the lock. Job well done in my opinion :-)
