This is a zero clearance insert for Metabo C12RSH2S. Also marketed under Hikoki and Hitachi. The plate should also fit the respective predecessor C12RSH.

The insert is 464mm along its length so do your math and download the file that fits your printer. Don't be discouraged if you don't own a larger printer; the two-piece design is just as strong because the machine screws will clamp both pieces firmly against the cast aluminum base.

This model is intended to be printed upside down so the textured PEI gets imprinted on the exposed face, which I think looks great. I've made sure that the support is not needed for the screw holes by adding a thin layer of internal bridge. However, you are going to need support for the half-lap overhang area on the longer piece. If you want to be a 100% support-free, print the longer piece in the upright orientation.

Recommended print settings

  • 10% infill or higher
  • 0.2 mm layer height
  • Between 0.4 mm and 0.5 mm layer width
  • Bottom shell layer 3 or higher
  • Top shell layer 4 or higher
  • 5 wall loops because you will need to cut into the plastic a little bit to establish the initial zero clearance.
