This jig is a modification of the router table centering jig for use on the drill press. It works with a non-split fence on the drill press with a .25 inch bit used to center the work. An 8mm shim is included to support the work along the fence. The jig consists of a base and a rotating cradle platform. The cradle can be used with either the narrow or wide platform supporting the work piece. The shim can be stored in the cradle via a tapered sliding dovetail joint.
In operation, a .25 inch bit in the drill press is inserted into the centering hole in the base. The work piece is placed on the cradle platform. The base is rotated and the fence adjusted so that one end touches the fence while the work piece is abutted to the fence using the shim if necessary for support. The fence is locked down. The centering bit is replaced with the desired bit for drilling.
I used the following print settings:
No support is required for printing. The base is printed on the bed with the cradle pivot pin up. The rotating cradle platform is printed with the tall stop up. The shim is printed with the debossing down. I was able to print these parts on the Prusa Mini+. I used PLA.
