This is not a 1:1 reproduction as I modeled it from images with no references other than “feel”. However it is good enough and works well enough and has done for a good many months now with heavy use.
Partly recorded the journey on the DCS forums
It uses Jflyers 4/5 way hats , a 6 pole toggle switch, and a single push button. It prints in 3 pieces, assembled with M2 screws.
I'm working on a Virpil inspired base that I should hopefully release soon, however for now it works with a modified version of a collective base released by GazMac on thingiverse. I have included the modified version here and the original in the post.
Also included is a twist throttle grip.
BoM:
25mm alu tube sized as required
variety of M3 bolts, M2 screws.
M8 bolt 80mm, M8 nut
608zz bearings x2
30 6x6x4.3 tact switches
1 11mm push button
1 6 pole toggle switch
1 10k rotary pot
2 5x5x5 magnets
1 hall effect device ss49e or similar
control board, various wires, shift registers if required.
I run mines on freejoy with everything wired directly to the board, theres just enough contacts. It could be tidied up with shift registers if you wished.
