This is a false magazine with internal space for a 2200mAh LiPo battery and an upside-down battery voltage alarm. I designed this part to hold the battery for my brushless strayven build, so that it would be slimmer than if I had used an extended battery door for the stryfe's battery compartment. This does take up an entire full-length magwell, so it is only really makes sense in designs that have an unused magwell (i.e. strayvens).

This is the first version I came up with, with the idea that in the future I could create a version with a proper quick swap connector. I have since started more "interesting" projects, so this has fallen by the wayside; I may come back at some point to finish it (most of the work is done, it just needs an extremely simple circuit board that I haven't been bothered enough to get made) but for now it will sit as a WIP design.

I was asked to post this by someone I met in front of the Orion Blasters booth at the 2024 Maryland Mayhem Blastercon.

STL and STP files are included.

Print Settings

Mag retention slots may need to be filed if the upper surface droops into the supports while printing. I recommend setting supports to only start at the build plate for the cleanest model, though it will add printing time.
