M113 1/2 LYNX RECON VEHICLE

A friend of mine spent several years serving in the Canadian Military, as he put it, “In my home from hell. Diesel fumes, sleep sitting, and no space.....would never trade it for the world.” He asked me if I knew where he could get a model of the M113 LYNX. I looked and found a few but didn’t find anything that I thought was adequate for what he was looking for, so I started drawing it up in Fusion360 using photos to try and get the dimensions right. THIS IS NOT A PERFECT REPLICA! But I think I’ve captured it fairly well.

This is a difficult model to build and there are many, many parts. I wanted the tracks to be movable. That’s where I started to see if I could make a good set of tracks. This part of the build is the most difficult and tedious however, it was worth the effort.
