Insert for the great Tiny Epic Quest, as well as the Golden Mushrooms mini expansion. Part of the MIC (Minimalist Insert Collection), this design clocks in at a mere 40 grams when all is said and done. I printed this in PLA+ on an Ender 3 Pro with a 1mm nozzle - Cura says if I did it all in one shot it'd be under an hour of print time.
See the photos for how to pack the box. The Itemeeples fit beautifully next to the cards - no need to mess with them. All you really need is the Token tray and the Goblin tray and you're in business. Even if you don't have the expansion, you can fill the space and nothing looks “missing”. You can put the Round and Magic markers with the dice, or in the main compartment. The Player token trays are optional, as is the Goblin ramp (so they'll lie down nicely). Depending on how well you've tamed “elephant's foot”, you may want to adjust the length and width of the player token boxes, and the width of the Goblin tray ramp so it'll fit (96% width on the ramp was a perfect fit for me).
Enjoy!
The MIC - Many board game inserts get the job done, but aren't optimized. They are overengineered, use too much filament, take too long to print, and weigh too much (it adds up!). The MIC is designed to provide a balance of organization, ease of use both when taking out and putting away, and economy in printing - light and fast. 1mm walls are plenty strong enough, and using a 1mm nozzle means they're done in a single pass. Less printing, more playing!
