Inspired by the two remixed models below, I created this filament guide and filament sensor mount which attaches to the SV06 frame using the filament spool mounting bolts.

It is designed for the common cheap generic filament sensors which you can pick up for under $5 from AliExpress or Amazon - see the attached image.
This mount is obviously not the right one for you if you want to use the filament sensor pin header on the SV06 print head, there are other models out there which are better in this case. But you can connect your filament sensor directly to the SV06 motherboard pins (just disconnect the 3-pin cable which goes from the board to the print head header) or to a Raspberry Pi running Klipper.

It can be used with the stock filament spool attachment still in place, or used to guide the filament if you have the filament spool mounted elsewhere (I have moved my filament spool to the side of my printer attached to the bottom of a shelf).

The filament guide can be used with or without a PTFE pneumatic adapter - the filament guide hole is sized to be able to screw in a PTFE pneumatic adapter but you don't need to use one (the adapter should be able to thread itself into the hole but you may need/want to use a thread tap if you have one).

You'll need a standard 608 skateboard bearing to attach the filament guide/sensor mount to the printer mounting piece. Press fit the bearing onto the centre spindle on the printer mount, and push the filament guide/sensor mount piece onto the outside of the bearing.

And use 2 x M3 bolts/screws to attach the filament sensor to the mount. The screws should self-tap into the mount.
The mount is deigned with mounting holes for the sensor to face either left or right so that you can orient it in the correct position for your cable to face in the direction of the PCU or the printer's motherboard - depending on where you connected your sensor.
(I connected my sensor to a Raspberry Pi running Klipper which is mounted above the PSU.)

There are two variations of the printer mount included\u2026

The \u2018normal\u2019 version (this version is in the photos) which positions the filament guide/sensor mount just below the SV06 top frame - note that this removes about 20mm of vertical travel from the Z-axis so if using this DO NOT try to align the Z axis by ramming against the top of the printer, it will hit the mount first and break it.
You should really be levelling your Z axis against the print bed anyway for maximum reliability and accuracy. I use this excellent model and gcode macro to help (not my model and don't know the author): https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/z-markers-for-sovol-sv06-plus
The \u2018Higher Clearance\u2019 version which positions the mount above the SV06 frame and doesn't impact Z axis travel distance.
The vertical section should be above the frame bolts when mounted, don't attach upside down!
This is probably the version that you should use to avoid any issues and retain your full Z axis print space.

There is only one variation of the filament guide/sensor mount which can be used with either of the printer mounts.
