Dry your contact lens cases in style with this Gridfinity drying bin! This design includes a Gridfinity bin, and a removable insert that keeps your lens case and lids off the surface to accelerate drying. When you need to clean the bin, just remove the insert so you can wipe off any dried residue. The front and back are open so you don't have to deal with corners where it's hard to get the gunk out!

The design comes with 5 variants. You can choose between:

  • Stackable, with magnets on the top to hold the stacked bins in place. There are short and tall variants of this.
  • Stackable, but without the magnets on the top. The stacked bins just rest on a stacking lip, like the original Gridfinity bin designs. There are short and tall variants of this as well.
  • Non-stackable. This version has very short walls, so it's best if you don't care about stacking and you want to minimize filament use.

All design variants and the insert prints with no supports and no brim! The bin and the insert prints in under 2 hours, and uses about 20 grams and 2 grams of filament respectively. The models were designed specifically to print easily. Please let me know in the comments if you are having trouble with any of them, and I'll do my best to help!

I printed the bins from PLA+ and the inserts from TPU in the pictures, but I don't see why you couldn't print the inserts from PLA or another hard filament as well.

I recommend putting the insert with the spiky side up. I found that this helps hold the contact lens case in place so it doesn't fall out while moving the bin around.
