I created this protective case to help protect the board and battery during testing, and during storage. It is set up for a small battery, and there is a spot for an off/on switch as well. I made a standoff to help secure the board mounted usb port. There is a hole on the reverse side to check the charging light status, and there is a port on the front side to let you hear the beeper easier.
I am NOT affiliated with Altus Metrum in any capacity, this is just a design to help fellow rocketry researchers protect their investment.
I used a battery from Amazon, but be sure to check polarity, mine was backwards from what Altus has in their design.
The switch was from Mouser : https://mou.sr/3JptgfT
The heat set inserts are M3 5x4mm, available on Amazon and other places.
The screws are just M3x8, and they are plenty long. That's what I had on hand.
The screws for the lid are just made for small bevel head screws that you can find fairly easy locally. They just self thread into the plastic.
I suggest printing the lid with the text facing down. No supports needed.
