I made a simple enclosure for my MK4, based on an IKEA Platsa cabinet (great tip btw). I put the entire enclosure on tall feet, so that I can put some stuff underneath, like drawers or tools.

To make sure the door can close and there is enough room at the back for the bed to move, I changed the position of the display to under the enclosure. That way you can also control your printer without opening the door.

Installation

  • Disconnect display cable and grounding cable
  • Remove the cables from all cable guides on the printer frame
  • Make a hole in the bottom of your enclosure directly below the xBuddy case (big enough to fit the display connector through)
  • Route the cables through the hole and under your enclosure
  • Mount the bracket where you want it (I suggest centered, but I won't judge), use two dome-head or pin-head screws.
    • Don't use countersunk screws, they will break the mounting bracket.
  • Mount the display to the mount with the original m3 bolts
  • Reconnect the cables

Printing
I printed in PETG, with 4 perimeters, top and bottom layers, but honestly I think that PLA will work just fine. Since you put it on the outside of the enclosure, the temperatures are not going to be that high usually.
