Microphone Arm Replacement Joint

These cheap amazon "boom arms" have awful metal tabs holding them together. They suck. So I made a "better" one. Enjoy

Quick little microphone arm joint replacement I whipped up since the stock ones suck so bad on these $15 Amazon “Boom arms”. After about 3 years of use the cheap metal tabs no longer held the microphone in place as they had warped so badly.

Not the greatest design ever but it's been working great for months now :)

This design requires:

x4 Voron Spec Heatset Inserts (M3x5x4)

x4 M3x8 BHCS or SHCS (However, M3x10 does work)

Print orientation is included in the photos. Sorry, you'll have to orient them yourself in your slicer :|

Rear Clamp gets the 4 heatset inserts and the front face screws on around the metal shaft.

Examples shown printed in PolyMaker Pop Green ASA and Black Phaetus® aeWorthy™ PETG-CF

Big thanks to Hawk16zz for testing with me and providing pictures :)
