MB W 154 “The great victor of France in 1938”
In 1938 Rudolf Caracciola became European Champion with the racing car developed by Mercedes Benz according to the new 3 liters formula in the same year. In 1939 Hermann Langwon the European championship with this vehicle.
At the French Grand Prix on July 3rd, 1938 in Reims Mercedes Benz gained a triple victory with the W 154:
First: von Brauchitsch (start No. 26)
Second: Caracciola (start No. 24)
Third: Lang (start No. 28)
