Birdhouses specifically designed for the Australian Superb Fairy-wren.
- 100% no supports.
- 10% triangular infill (creates air gaps in the walls to provide insulation).
- Print in light coloured filament of your choice.
- Australian sun is brutal so dark colours would not be ideal for thermal management inside the nest. I printed in white eSun PLA+.
- Droplet Wrenhouse was printed with fuzzy skin, turned out excellent.
- Entry hole diameter is 28.575mm on both models.
- Ventilation holes under cover on the back of the models.
- Drainage/ventilation holes in the floor of each model.
- Wren House entry is lower than the Droplet Wrenhouse to provide the birds with options. The male will show his female 4-5 nests for her to choose from.
- Droplet birdhouse has a larger footprint, inbuilt cable tie fixings and a nub for levelling against a vertical support. e.g., inset into shrub (Camellia Sasanqua) against trunk as pictured.
- Models printed on Elegoo Neptune 3 Max. (Thanks JP)

Enjoy and please post makes - especially if you have a family move in! The Australian nesting season is not upon us yet, however, I will update this post if we're lucky enough to have the locals move in…
This design may be suitable for other species of small birds found in the Northern Hemisphere.
