These are the 3D printed parts of a simple wheeled robot. It has been used in an introductory course on robotics.  It was a hands on course. Students learn the concepts of variables and functions while writing very basic programs to control robots. It was organized in a series of challenges.

The website https://lasagnabot.github.io provides more information including:

  • Challenges to perform
  • Specs of boards and other hardware parts (motors, sensors, …)
  • Assembly instructions that requires 3D printed parts provided here

It turns out the base plate need to be improved. Because the wheels are so cheap, some are slightly larger or smaller than others. A student came up with a low tech, though effective solution: adding studs using duct tape 😅
