First of all thank you for the smooth design of the original model qtip dispenser rnd.
I wanted to use this model because:
- It covers the cotton parts of the q-tips (ear swabs), they stay cleaner in than other open models.
- You can grab a few from bottom without exposing rest.
- Smooth surfaces obviously :)
The model requires supports, auto-generated tree supports worked well enough for me.
Printing summary:
- Using Creality Ender 3 V3 SE - 0.4mm nozzle
- 0.16mm layer height with %5 infill, tree supports
- 4h 50m print time:
- 4h 30m for the dispenser
- 20m for the lid
- 56 grams of PLA filament used in total (5 grams for support)
The differences this model has:
- Smaller (85x45x91mm), this is for less space and fitting my type of swabs in (75-80mm). I managed to fit 100 of them (see photos)
- Raised a bit from bottom (around 8mm) which eases to grab swabs I think.
- Removed the “Q-TIP” writing from front side, to be honest I don't call them q-tips :)
- The lid is also smaller and more compact. It does not lock in, but fits perfectly
