I created this tool to simplify adjusting the extruder gears on the 3D Chameleon.

This can be printed using PLA without supports and with 5-15% infill.

  1. Remove the Extruder NEMA17 motor from the 3D Chameleon.
  2. Remove the top extruder gear and loosen the grub screw on the bottom gear.
  3. Place the Alignment Tool on the Stepper motor securely. The buttons on the bottom should fit into the motor's mounting holes.
  4. This will move the gear to the exact position needed.
  5. Tighten grub screw.
  6. Remove Alignment Tool.
  7. Install the upper extruder gear on top of the lower gear and tighten the grub screw.

That's it! You can put the 3D Chameleon back together again.
