Simple anchor thingies for cable management

This is a collection of small velcro hooks I used all over my desk area to hide pretty much all the cables that are used for my PC setup, they are small, but can hold a TON of cables. I sticked them under my desk using 3M double sided tape.

The hook'nloop strips I used I collected from the many computers I build at my workplace.

Different  variations possible, fits most applications

There are 3 designs ( if you want me to design another one for your specific application, don't hesitate to make a post in the “makes and comments” section, I'll gladly do it! )

The first 2 designs are made to have a single velcro loop holding all the cables together, the difference is that one has a hole to use a screw instead of double sided tape to mount it.

In this picure, I used one of those to hold all the cables going to my PC ( 3 THICC DisplayPort cables, tons of USB cables, Ethernet, audio cables…. 12 or 13 cables total I think )

But if you want more separation, either to see more clearly what is what or to avoid having EVERYTHING fall apart just to replace or add one cable , maybe the dual loop version is what you need ?

Here I used the dual version exactly for that. I ran my audio cables going to my mixer in a separate loop from all the other stuff. As I regularly have to move my audio gear, I just have to open that cable loop to change the cable or get a bit more slack.

I designed both parts to use 10mm wide velcro strips. There is a trick to install the strips in the dual loop variant without having them stick together, once you have fished through your first strip, use something as flat as possible ( I used a straight edge ruler) as a guide or ramp to fish the second one over the first. This might not be very clear, but I unfortunately have no more strips to take a picture and demonstrate, I'll add it in the future.

Strips like this can also work => https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RYR241M (NON affiliate link)

As for printing the parts, well, I have nothing to say, I printed them out of PLA, there is a small bridge to gap, but this shouldn't be a problem for anyone.

If you end up using my design, don't forget to post your makes ! It is highly appreciated !
