Custom usb-c interface to control PWM devices like PC-FANs or lights with the AC Infinity 69 Pro controller.

Disclaimer: USE AT your own risk AND you might loose warranty on the product

The case is designed to be used with Arctic P14 PWM PST and it's default connectors. The Arctic FANs have one male and one female connector to daisy chain them. I simply used (cut) the existing male connector to install it into the case. Other FANs with same connector should work as well (google “pc fan connector 4 pin”)

Furthermore one terminal strip / luster terminal is broken out to connect other accessoires that are controlled by 0-10V PWM (e.g LED lights / LED driver).

Components used:

  • 10V Power supply needed => 10V NOT 12V!
    • Note: the FANs are running at 10V instead of 12V but for my needs this should be enough
  • USB-C breakout board with CC1 or CC2 broken out (google for “USB-C breakout board” and check the attached images).
  • One 5.1kΩ pull-down resistor per USB-C breakout needed

Please note that i've only populated CC2 <> GND in my setup. Due to this reason you must plug the USB-C cable in the right orientation. If you plug it in the wrong orientation, the PWM output will be at 100% or in other words at 10V.

Please see pics for futher information - should be self-explaining
