I could buy a couple of old MeanWell PSU's DR-4524 for a very nice price.
I think I will put 2 of them in series for a Lab Power Supply (what will give 48 Volts, 2 Amp to work with). Enough for most stuff I will ever make :-). I will combine it with a Adjustable Voltage Regulator (something like this: (example https://tinyurl.com/psubottom ). An enclosure has to be designed etcetera.
However there was an issue (and that is why they were cheap). The PSU's are to be used on a DIN-Rail. And the bottom-parts are missing. So it is all open electronics (= MAIN power 220V on the bottomside!!!). To dangerous to test/pre-use them as they are.
So I made a replacement bottom. It just clips on like the original. Nothing fancy about it. Just SAFE.
PS: If needed I can provide a STEP or FREECAD file. Just let me know.
