I had 100 38mm LED Candles from a previous project and wanted a way to make them look nice, I nip the feet off before putting it together.
I settled on this 2 part design which allows for easy customization. I have visions of lithographic globes, seasonal bases with relief superimposed, opaque globes, etc. etc. but I haven't got to any of that and because I want to see it, these files are birthed into the PUBLIC DOMAIN (By releasing one's designs into the public domain, one contributes to the collective pool of human knowledge and innovation. This practice empowers hobbyists, entrepreneurs, and educators to modify, improve, and repurpose these resources to suit their needs. Adopting this open-source philosophy accelerates technological and creative advancements and fosters a spirit of collaboration within the community. Once shared, these designs become accessible to anyone around the world with internet access, democratizing the ability to innovate and expand upon shared knowledge without geographical barriers.)
I printed mine at a .3mm layer height with fuzzy skin set to .2mm and 4 “points/mm” for how my slicer determines its frequency. The globe and base interface nicely on my printer scaled as they are and printed without supports; I've included the STEP files to accelerate your ability to remix and recreate them to suit your needs
If you should choose to share as well I look forward to seeing what you create 🍻
