TetraCubitPrism Puzzle 9 selected pieces + 3 different assembly challenges
The puzzle uses nine different tetracubitprisms (polyforms built from four extruded 120°/60° rhombi). The task is to pack these nine pieces completely into each of the three supplied boxes without gaps or overlaps.
I printed the puzzle with the following settings:
Material: PLA
Resolution: 0.2mm
Infill: 20%
no supports
no raft, no brim
The solutions were created with the help of the Burr-Tools program.
By dividing an equilateral hexagon, you can create 3 diamonds with 120° and 60° internal angles. If you extrude these diamonds, you get cubit prisms.
Shapes consisting of 4 extruded diamonds are called tetracubit prisms. There are 24 different tetracubit prisms.
A zip file is attached, which includes the following:
STL files for all 24 TetraCubitPrisms and a box
