Any 3mf for the Neptune 4 plus would be appreciated I've wasted too much filament trying to get this to work. Spent the time dialing in the filament and it just continues to fail with the current 3mf converted over or trying with the STL and doing recommended slicer settings

Hi, will the R Trianglelab 5015 blower fans work?

@Forol1561_500694 it has the same/similar out shell so it would work mechanically. not sure about its fancurve response. Some fans are a bit tricky to get a useable working range out of them

I finally finished mine, using ABS printed, and everything goes perfect. I think I need some time to adjust the fan speed

Allllright, so everything is printed and installed, shes beautiful, great work on the design and retaining the droid look elegoo went with for the neptune series printheads. with all that said how do i go about changing the sinkfan speed, because good lord the single 4020 is louder than when it was paired hahahah also, the 5015s are kinda weak even at 100% i cant get enough air out of them, howbeit they are hella quiet hahaha any help would be greatly appreciated on where to lower the sinkfan speed for sure.

@EliasYC_2175865 fan speed can be set here see klipper reference: https://www.klipper3d.org/Config_Reference.html?h=fan#fans
The 4015 as a center fan is mainly to avoid a severe clogging risk running PLA slowly so i cannot recommend to reduce fanspeed alot - play around with it. Often its not really then overall noise but the pitch that is distracting so just play around with it to find a speed that is more pleasing.
For the 5015 fans - depending on which ones you got they have a exponential curve to them. This can be tuned with the "cycle_time" parameter. You can discuss this on the elegoo discord if you need help. It may be required to use very very low values to get a desired curve if f.e. you use sunon fans.

It makes it soo much quieter. I love the way this is a modular system thats easy to change later without committing to a whole new assembly.

I printed it in Galaxy black petg on my prusa mini and it came out beautifully. Side pods have sunon 5015 fans. I might need to diagnose one of them because so far only the left fan seems to be blowing while printing.

btw, you will need to adjust the printer.cfg file or you will get overcooling error messages. The following worked for me.

[heater_fan fan1]
pin: PC7
fan_speed: 0.5
shutdown _speed: 1

[fan]
pin: PB7
max_power: 0.6 (edited)

I was used Eryone PETG CF for parts.
I didn't put it yet, i missing some cables 😅

Thank you so much for this nice modification. I just mounted it to my N4+... What peace and quiet compared to before!
A quick question about the hot end fan. The 4015 used is larger and more powerful than the original fan. Do I have to or can I also adjust the speed there, and if so, where? (Probably in printer.cfg?)

@3DStoertie_2858524 yeah you can. I don't have that handy but the nice people on the elegoo discord can surely help you out

I printed the version in PETG with the stock 4010 fan from Elegoo. After assembly, I had to recalibrate and adjust the Z-offset. In the filament settings, I set 10/50 for PLA and 5/25 for PETG. It also turned out that the stock 4010 fan runs at 100% speed all the time and makes quite a bit of noise, which defeats the purpose of the mod for me — I was aiming to reduce print noise. To address this, I added the line fan_speed: under [heater_fan fan1] in printer.cfg and set it to 0.5, limiting the hotend fan speed to 50%.

My question for those who know: Is this too little for proper hotend cooling?

any tips on printing the side pods

@AaronTpain_2703255 there is a preconfigured 3mf file and a seperate pdf that outlines some printsettings and has reference images for the various models sliced (edited)

@AaronTpain_2703255 The title of this model starts with "Neptune 4/.." id say yes

Printed perfect. Assembly ob the sides was a bid hard. Seems like my settings made the "hooks" a bit to fat and they doesnt dit in the slot. Nothing a little knife could fix.
