This is a printable serial tag for the V1 MP3DP V5
Attached are .step and .f3d files for the tags. Once you have your serial number you can edit the files for your number then save the mesh to print.
The larger file is not my favorite but I was asked to upload it as well. It can be edited but not as easy as the one for the 2 smaller tags.
For the Printer Serial Tag V2 files you can open the .f3d in fusion. go to the sketch and edit the sketch.
Move mouse over the writing and it will turn a dark blue…
Double click to open the text edit menu
Change the “4” to whatever your serial number is.
If the text rolls down to a second line that's ok. We will fix that next.
Click ok on the Edit Text menu. Then double click on the dimension on the bottom of the sketch, currently 85.00
Go up with this number until your text displays in one line. I usually go 5mm at a time. Type 90 and hit enter. If it is still 2 lines just double click it again and add 5mm more.
Once you have it looking like this again, click finish sketch. This will update the mesh for both of the small tags.
Under the Bodies tab you will see both of the tags listed. One on the left with recessed letters and the one on the right with raised letters. Choose which one you prefer, right click on the body and click save as mesh.
Save it to the location of your choice. Then open in your favorite slicer software.
These are both set up to do a filament swap after 2.5mm. They look real good printed in the same color as your printed parts.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
