An LED / photoresistor combination is a convenient part for building voltage controlled amplifiers (VCAs). Unfortunately these parts are no longer sold (to my knowledge).
So I decided to build my own.
Print with black filament (I used PETG) for best results.
The top and bottom snap together nicely, although your mileage may vary, depending on filament and printer used.
In any case, I recommend glueing the parts together after soldering, so the cap does not fall off during operation.
The part is designed to fit a 2.54mm grid. Each component's leads are 2.54mm apart, and there is 5 * 2.54mm = 12.7mm space between the leads (i.e. leave 4 holes empty on a stripboard). See photos for details.
