Edit: V1.1 uploaded 2024/04/16 - Addresses issue with joint popping out of place with upward mag ejection. UNFORTUNATELY, not well enough. I will be remaking this file, but for the time being I'm keeping it up as a proof of c;ncept, or unless someone wants to remix it.
This is a print-in-place mag release that mimics another mag release for the AUG (Waffle pattern). Now people in the U.S. can enjoy the option to AK reload OR AUG reload, as it supports both pushing upward or forward to eject the mag.
This is designed to take the original AUG magazine release spring, and place it in the same orientation that the OEM mag release is in. The second picture is the original mag release for a visual as to how to orient the printed mag release.
Tested in PLA+ and ASA, but for a part that you intend in a duty-grade gun, print in Glass-filled Nylon, Carbon-Filled Nylon, or Carbon-Filled PETG.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
