I'm thrilled to share my latest creation: the Everyday Comb, designed with practicality and a touch of elegance in mind. This working comb combines ease of printing with the comfort of daily use, featuring a classic rounded shape reminiscent of timeless beauty tools. The rounded tips ensure a smooth glide through your hair, minimizing damage and making it ready to use with little to no post-processing.

I've included various lengths and tooth widths in the design files, inviting you to experiment and find the comb that best suits your needs. If you're unsure which model to start with, I recommend the one shown in the photos: 200mm in length, 3mm in thickness, and 1.68mm tooth width. It's a versatile size that balances functionality and ease of handling.

How to Print Your Comb

To get the best results, I've outlined some print recommendations. You'll also find a PrusaSlicer project file included as an example to kickstart your printing process:

Dimensions

The dimensions are encoded into the filename of each model file. For example:

LR2431-T30-H038-L200-W168.3mf

The shown filename decodes as follows:

• T30 : Thickness 3.0 mm. The number is the thickness of the comb in 1/10 mm.
• H038: Height 38 mm. The number is the height in mm.
• L200: Length 200 mm. The number is the length in mm.
• W168: Tooth width 1.68mm. The number is the tooth width in 1/100 mm.

Recommended Dimensions

If you're unsure which model to start with, I recommend the one shown in the photos: 200mm in length, 3mm in thickness, and 1.68mm tooth width. It's a versatile size that balances functionality and ease of handling.

Locating the Model Files

All model files for this comb can be found in the "Files" tab, where I've organized them into ZIP files based on file format for your convenience. Choose from 3MF, or STEP files according to your preference.

Where are the STL files?

I decided to no longer provide STL files, as the 3MF format already contains a mesh based format that can be read by almost every slicer software. In case you need the STL format, please open the 3MF file using PrusaSlicer and export the model as STL from there.
