A cool 2m long light bar that uses ws2812 led strips that I put together to use above my living room tv. It uses the 144 leds/m strips on the front and 60 leds/m strips facing the wall to give a nice back glow effect. It runs off WLED running on a ESP32 module so you have tons of flexibility to create any effect you want. You could also integrate a microphone to make it audio reactive. It prints in sections that should fit on most average sized 3d printers. I printed the parts on my Bambu P1S and they fit together fairly tightly but I recommend using glue to secure everything together once you have it all working before installing it.

You will need:

2x 1m strips of 144 Leds per meter ws2812 Leds

2x 1m strips of 60 Leds per meter ws2812 Leds

ESP32 Module with at least 4 usable GPIOs (you could use 2 and parallel them but that will limit you to purely symmetrical effects)

Power supply- I recommend at least a 5A supply and enable software current limiting in WLED, those 144/m strips pull a fair bit of current.

The Leds will get warm after prolonged use, especially if you're running them bright/white, they could potentially cause PLA to soften up, I recommend PETG with at least 3 perimeters for rigidity.
