Housing for Moza R12 base with fan attachment to keep it a little cooler.

Full enclosure keeps airflow closer to side walls of the base where it heats the most. It uses dashboard mounting points held by two M3x20mm screws.

I've printed mine using .2mm layer height.

To power the fan, I'm using USB port connected to DC-DC converter with fan attached to it. It allows to set desired RPM by changing the voltage.

Top cover height should be updated in slicer to match thickness of fan of your choice, I've used stock fan from NZXT case.

To keep top cover strongly attached I suggest to hot glue few nuts for easier assembly. Two screws near the mounting pillars should be melted into the pillars, you can hold them over fire for a moment and then place them over the holes.

Assembly steps:

  1. Glue nuts to shroud.
  2. Screw shroud to wheel base using M3x20mm screws.
  3. Route required power cables through hole in left, bottom corner.
  4. Place the fan on the shroud, connect the cables.
  5. Cover the fan with top cover, use longer screws (depending on your fan and cover thickness) to get through fan to previously glued nuts.
