Flag Clip (Revised)

Hybrid clip / carabiner 3D printable model to attach flags to the rope of a flag pole.

The gate of the carabiner does double duty as the lever of the clip.

This is a substantial redesign of my earlier design, which proved to be insufficiently robust against storms. This revision traps the flag cable more effectively, preventing the flag from being blown away unless the clip itself breaks.

OpenSCAD file enclosed for tuning. In particular, the diameter of the eye at the bottom needs to be closely matched to the flag cable diameter.

PETG should work well for this, for its outdoor durability and some flexibility during installation. Prints flat, no supports needed.
