I designed this to replace the stock extruder on the Anycubic I3 Mega S
I had received two of these for repair, as my nephew had asked if I could figure out what was wrong with them. The conditions he explained sounded simple enough to resolve so I took them in to fix. One was easy enough to repair, one was a dead board, but the screen still worked. So, I repaired the one that could be fixed, and removed the extruder, hot end, and screen and sent them back with the working printer. Now I’m “rebuilding” the dead Mega S with aftermarket parts and Printables.
I bought an MKS Owl V1.0 board for the dead Mega S, and needed a mount for an extruder, if I planned on keeping it in the original location.
If your printer does good with short overhangs, you will not need any supports, the mounting holes for the Nema 17 motor will accept a M4 screw through the top, or from the bottom without causing issues with mounting the adapter to the printer.
