Did you ever accidentally touch the Maidesite standing desk controls with your thigh, elbow or hand?
I know I have, and the desk operates so silently, I didn't always immediately notice it moving up or down while playing music and being busy.
So I made a cover for the touch controls, to prevent accidental activation of any of the touch buttons.
This panel slides on and clamps down on the control panel from the bottom to make sure you can't accidentally activate it again.
!Keep in mind that your machine needs to be tuned well in order to print this with the correct tolerances!
I used PCTG filament for this print as it's flexible and stonger than PETG.
One issue that might arise, is that the top edge might be too high for your panel, so it depends on the way the control panel is mounted. If this poses any issues, you can print the ‘shorter’. This is only needed if the control panel is mounted further back.
The USB port can still be used with most cables. I could fit in all cables that I have, but if it poses issues, I can add a version with a small cutout that allows you to use the fattest USB cables one might have.
