Mid Century Welby Mantle Clock for Prusa Mini

I was immediately enamored with the Welby mantle clock, but needed to modify it to print on my Prusa Mini.

PrusaSlicer comes with model cutting capabilities, but I never felt the need to use them until I saw Mark's beautiful design and was overcome with build volume envy! I just had to attempt it on my Mini+.

I started with Steve's excellent remix and added enough bulk to the body and back panel to make room for connectors with the cut tool. The face was cut straight up the middle with no connectors and attached by melting with a flat wood burning tool (a technique learned from Van Oaks Props) and hidden with the center gold inlay.

All parts printed with 0.15 layer height and 0.4 nozzle. I printed the logo'd face plate half with a filament color change at layer 26.

This was definitely a challenging print for me, but hopefully it gives encouragement to someone else with a smaller printer to give it a go!

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Enlarged the body's case stops and added bulk to the back panel for cutting in PrusaSlicer. Also modeled an optional spacer if needed.
