The author remixed this model.
I was having some trouble printing the Ball so I loaded it into Fusion and changed it to be a closed model, which makes it so much easier to print without huge waste of support material.
To do that just load the Model into your slicer and make sure the flat side is pointing down.
Then reduce the bottom-layers to 0 and set the infill to “lightning”. This will just use a minimal amount of material to support the top and it will print very fast.
In the end you just have to clean off the bottom edges and break away the middle pin somewhere half way through.
Depending on the viscosity of the plaster you might want to trim the infill a bit, but I feel like this is still better than wasting a lot of material on supports.
