Got my Prusa i3 2 months ago and love it. Was thinking while building it an allen key T handle would make sense. And a nut holder/driver. I may have got a bit carried away…
The idea is to use the screw driver “ends” in your fingers or put them in a rachet screwdriver.
I am still a novice in PrusaSlicer but parts seemed to print pretty easy with 0.2mm 15% infill and brim for the taller parts. I mucked around with settings to make 3+solid layers on all external surfaces (horizontal and vertical shells). Driver ends were printed tool bit down. Nothing needs slicer support. The two rachet “claws” print with a small manual support that needs to be trimmed off after printing. Will include a pic to explain.
I am not sure how the rachet will stand up over time and all parts are still WIP. If anyone gives it a go, by all means send me feedback and I will update the design. Uses a M3 x 30 bolt and nut from Prusa spares pack. Cheers Pete
Ps ran out of time for competition. Mechanism works surprisingly well in a test setup. Some tolerances in this finished assembly still need work and may need a mechanism to stop the forward / reverse lever from creeping. Also current access to assembly nut is dumb.
