Otamatone BEAM mod

Otamatones already look like an eighth notes. With this kit, you can combine two into a beam group! No permanent modification is necessary :) PS this is only for the Regular Otamatone models, not the Deluxe, Techno, or Neo.

RECOMMENDED SETTINGS: Print the “beam” pieces with the flat side down at a 0.1mm layer height.

Step 1: Remove the two screws from each Otamatone and set them aside, they will be used later.
Step 2: Remove the two “flag”/"tail" pieces and the ring from each Otamatone. Hang on to them in case you want to reverse the mod someday.
Step 3: Place the 3d printed ring on the stem of each Otamatone
Step 4: Insert one of the beam pieces on the stem of each Otamatone. Part of it will be inside the ring.
Step 5: Insert the remaining half into the ring of both Otamatones at the same time and press them until they snap into place. This is the hardest step, and both ends must be done simultaneously.
Step 6: Use the 4 screws from Step 1 to secure both sides of the “beam” together. I recommend using the long screws on the outermost sides.
