I needed longer stick ends than are provided with the Twin X-Lite S.  I fly mainly gliders and wanted more throw on the stick ends.  I also wanted the ends to not be uncomfortable to use for hours at a time.  I don't need needles going into my thumb to keep the end of the gimbal stick from slipping.  Just some texture on the end is enough for me.

It took a long time to keep experimenting with designs on the end of the stick that was comfortable to use for extended periods without making it too rough on the thumb or too smooth to risk my thumbs sliding.

The thickness of the sticks are increased from the normal sticks to give them more strength for the plastic printing.  They don't look as long as they really are because of that.  With the bigger thumb area, I think the stick looks better thicker anyway.

0.1mm layer height for FDM printing to get the most detail in the print.  Print standing up with a brim to keep it on the build plate.  You will likely have to use an M3x0.5 tap to make sure the threading works well.  Alternatively, You can decrease Horizontal Expansion (try -0.09 and decreasing by 0.03 (-0.12 for example), etc to get it to fit.  For best fitment, a tap is recommended though.  I did model the threads, but the threading on the Twin X-Lite gimbals are really small.  You can find tap sets cheap on ebay and such and they are convenient to have for other uses.
