Description

Summary

This was designed among other custom tracks for my kids collection and allows to build more diverse track layouts comparing to the original sets. It is compatible with modern lego tracks. Double crossover features four independent switches allowing any combination to be tested and used.

What's included

Files include two variants:

  • tilt lever mechanism provides nice mechanism which looks similar to the real thing. It requires a bit more precision. But, It might come in contact with long and low train carts if placed next to a curve. It also takes more space in storage.
  • flat lever is simpler and more compact version. It doesn't break if someone steps onto it.

Printing recommendations

Start with calibration part to adjust your settings to ensure a good fit when connecting crossing to other rails. That would allow to avoid lengthy reprints if one of the main parts turned out too loose or too tight. Also make sure that first layer doesn't get squished into elephant foot as it will prevent proper connection between sections. For mechanical pushers it is important that z-seam doesn't end up on thin section which needs to act as a spring, it could make the part brittle and prevent correct functioning.
