You can rotate the workpiece 360 degrees and tilt over to 40 degrees.
The top ring of the base is designed to provide resistance on the ball with out it being fully locked. There is a locking screw on the side to lock the ball firmly in place.
The base is roughly 3 lbs when filled with sand. You should use what you have. Gravel/Sand/Scrap metal/loose change.
The pin vice is removable and can be swapped out for something else. Hole pattern is 120mm x120mm (6mm holes). I wanted a pin vise so that's what I made. Pin holes are 5.2mm so you can use M5 screws for the work holding pins. I ended up using 3/16 wooden dowelling x 25mm long.
The base is 150 mm dia.
Assembled height as shown is 325mm.
4 - M5x16 Cap Screws complete with nuts
5/16 Threaded Rod x 180mm long complete with 3 nuts and one flat washer.
Glue for the vice knob and nut cover.
Print pieces with the tear drop holes facing up.
The only thing that requires supports is the ball and the base.
I needed to increase the X and Y scale for the resistance ring / weighted base to get them to fit, see slicer picture. The gcode files have the increase included.
