Modification for Sonoff Temperature Sensor SNZB-02 that will allow use of 2xAAA batteries instead of a CR2450 battery.
Why do you need such modification:
- longer lifespan for battery compared to coin battery in terms of capacity
- AAA batteries allow for wider temperature range (especially below 0*C)
- cheaper and more popular batteries
I could not find the battery holders the original model was designed around.
I found these on Amazon, and they fit IF I made the interior mounting posts shorter.

I used supports when printing the button.
I experimented with printing the case top scaled to 100.2%, 100.4% and 100.5% so it would fit tighter.
I have included photos of the modification to the original Sonoff unit.
I just published a wall mount to fit this case:

The author remixed this model.
Reduced height of interior support posts to allow longer AAA battery holders.
