This is a captive axle pulley system with a mount for your wall. All captive means in this scenario is that the axle cannot be removed, and it is print in place. This creates a system of 2 pulleys so that you can move things in any direction at any distance, for any purpose. This has a variety of uses such as raising something up to another floor or level, or laterally moving something along a wall.
Four STLs are included, one with a handle to spin the axle and one without, and the other two are just like that except that they have a bracket on the bottom so that the apparatus can be nailed/screwed into the wall without problem. The gaps are 3mm by 3mm circular holes, so any nails/screws with a head size larger than 3 mm should work.
The files are designed to be printed in place with no post processing necessary, and they should spin freely after being printed. NO SUPPORTS should be used, files can be printed just fine without them. I printed in PLA because that is all I had available, but I think you would be fine with just about any material.
Do not print on a smaller scale than around 80-85% because after that the distance between the inner axle and cage is so small that it will mold them together.
There is a 5mm gap between for the string or conveyor belt to go, so anything wider than that will not work. Otherwise, any string or other should be just fine, provided you have the wall mount attached.
